Firefighter Jordan Marzolf joined Po-Mar-Lin as a junior member when he was 14. He has been a dedicated member ever since.

During his four years at Unionville High School, FF Marzolf devoted his time toward academic study, was inducted into the National Honors Society, trained as an Federal Aviation Administration Certified Private Pilot, studied as a Cadet at the Octorara Homeland Security & Protective Services Academy, and accumulated over 1,000 volunteer hours as a first responder for our community.

This past year his hard work has rewarded him greatly. We were proud to announce him as our 2017 Firefighter of the year, but most recently, FF Marzolf was recognized as Cadet of the Year of Octorara Homeland Security & Protective Services Academy, received the U.S. Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence Award, and the 2018 New Garden Friends Meeting Scholarship.

Among his many classes and certifications over the years, FF Marzolf has completed Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Operations, Vehicle Rescue Awareness, Vehicle Rescue Operations, Vehicle Rescue Technician, Firefighter 1, CPR/First Aid, Aircraft Rescue, Building Construction, and Fire Dynamics. He is also a proud certified Fire Police Officer for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Jordan has been passionate about both fire trucks and airplanes since a young child and plans to stay true to his lifetime passions.

This fall, FF Marzolf will attend Marywood University where he received a merit scholarship and will pursue a Bachelor's degree in Business Aviation Operations and Commercial Pilot. He plans to dedicate his future to volunteer work as a first responder where he hopes earn a leadership role and to fly professionally as a commercial pilot.

We will miss him but wish him all the best as he excels in his endeavors and look forward to seeing him on his breaks from school.
